I have to apologize in advance: the last written journal entry we have is from my last post. At this point I am using photos to jog my memory, as well has help from Ben on the days he was present.
In the morning, we were able to get a regular campsite and fetch Ben’s car. We now have power to charge the phones! The plan was to take Friday and Saturday to rest and resume hiking on Sunday. I spent several hours in a coffee shop updating our blogs, while Ben & Meg played board games in a laundromat.
Honeyman State Park has a lovely lake and they rent canoes, so it was time to use our upper body muscles a bit.
Ben had brought our CSA box with him and we were overloaded with fresh produce. YUM.
Foil packets, a favorite camping supper of ours.
I missed my little guy, but he was NOT happy to be tied up. Luckily, he is so tiny a cooler was able to hold him.
After being a bachelor for a few weeks Ben seems a little afraid of greens…
Feels good to be wearing cotton again!
Catching up on our journal.
“Please pay attention to me.”
